That old VDub

Old cars can be fun cars but it all depends on what cars you are debating about. The learning curve of driving an ancient car can be a little steeper and more costly than when driving a newer automobile.

The reason being that newer cars are usually intuitive, well built and fairly foolhardy, however old cars such as classic vdubs from the older days of production tend to break a little easily, for example when you miss a gear or abuse the revs. There was a VW Sale down my local auction last week and I picked up an old classic – a car that fits all my criteria but it has these problems because of the old owner…typical!

Sad Story

I love my pink smart car, as do many people living in the city. These tiny cars were specially designed for city living and to ease the trouble of parking in places heavy with traffic. My smart car is big enough for me to fit all my teaching-resources in the back and normally all my shopping bags too. However it is going to be a sad story when I have children as a limitation of the smart car is that there is not a lot of room for passengers, meaning that when I start a family my pink car will have to be sold. This is however a few years away and for a single woman living in the city my smart car has proved to be invaluable and I would highly recommend a smart car to anyone looking for a cheap, small automobile, perfect for city life.

The Legacy of Subaru

Subaru have been making cars for years, you know it – I know it and we can be certain that the world rally championships know about it. But if you look past the discos that the Subaru Impreza’s take people to and the obsession with futebol people that drive the latest ugly model then there is a lot of good at the subaru workplace.

Namely in my opinion theres the Subaru Legacy. This car rocks, its the ultimate trade off between the power of the impreza, the 4wd system of the impreza, hell the interior of the impreza – but with the nice old man amount of space in the back. Maybe I am getting old but space is definately a consideration now with cars – Its not like ikea in a ferrari has ever been a good idea? or even fitting the golfclubs in to be honest!!

Express yourself: Offspring

The offspring are quite possibly my favorite band ever, if not the best band in the world.

The main reason being that they don’t go round in pimped out benz’s or frilled out tour buses (I am sure they tour nicely but not excessively) – that was never their deal. Offspring represents a wicked part of my youth, a time of frivolity and fun – and listening back to the old albums they released to express makes me happy – its great!

So next time your feeling down and need a pick me up – try listening to anything by OFFSPRING – they rock!!!!

Adoptee comes to my house

This year me and my wife began a new life. We started with applying for adoption rights. This is the beginning of getting a child as an adoptee. I joke that I am doing it for cheap house work but really I am quite proud to help out a younger person and I like having something to worry about other than the economy. The latest addition to our house is officially a designer zombie – he is obsessed with his cartier watches and his versache jeans – something I never would have even imagined would be gracing my butt cheeks when I was his age – These days they get ideas so young!

Allegations from the insurance co?

Is it ok for Insurance companies to randomly throw allegations at you? I was aware that when chatting to them you have too be careful what you say, as everything even slightly incriminating will come back to bite you in the ass at a later date. But the other day I had had an accident (completly not my fault – guy crashed into the back of me) so thought I should fill in some written log while I was explaining the scenario over the phone to my insurance broker. Trouble is they are cheeky people and try and talk you into admitting fault. On several seperate occasions I was asked ‘do you think it was your fault’ and ‘what where you doing not looking at the wheel’ and other such allegatory questions. Is it really fair game for them to do this, so as to trick you into admitting fault?

My Take on the apprentice

You cannot help but admire sir alan, one for the wealth he has achieved in his lifetime but also for his shockingly popular television show stroke interview simulator The apprentice. Styled on what would be the hunt for his ideal apprentice I am unsure why 8034 series in he is still looking for an apprentice, maybe we should get some actually good apprentices to hop into the toyota lucida or whatever car it is and visit sir alan, maybe he just sacks them every year – or maybe he needs 9000 apprentices for an army he is building to apprenticise the whole world – run for the hallways sir alan is going to make you take an interview on national tv then humilate you for £0.

With a world of stupid phrases like lol and lmfao I would like to announce my own addition – the Chevrolet Matiz – all day everyday until it gets dark the matiz is a backcountry car – something you would never expect to be doing wrong, being an arbeitgeber or something – but by night its my new swear word – my ongoing joke that no-one gets – Go Matiz yourself Mr. The car – I dont like – maybe thats why I so easily use it as a mickey taking tool, but please..its just a daewoo with an americans hand writing on the front badge, nothing more, nothing less – don’t say its good because its not.

Chatting to Che

What would you have said to che or any other famous dead revolutionist if you could? would you ask how they realy died or what they thought about the things that have happened since? would you look for monolouges from them or want their opinions on yours? What car do you think they would drive? personally if Che was alive I would put him down to anything he could claim from the politicians – maybe a nice mercedes AMG if he lived in the uk – but he wouldn’t so it would probably be a humvee with “screw you ess’e” on it (get the joke?)

Honda leaving well alone?

I know honda have never exactly loved the big engines, you don’t see many honda civics boasting big ass v10’s or v12’s like their german equivelants. Maybe they should though – after they have concoquered the whole environementally friendly car thing – because you cant really fault a car like the honda accord, its cheap fairly fast and very efficient – thats what makes it my favourite honda – but the point is its still a large car – why do they go half way and not just go all out and make something fast fast?
